Change in Mission and Operations

9/28/25 – We want to publicly announce a change to the mission and operations of Living Waters of Capon Bridge.

Effective immediately, we will no longer operate as “a church”. Meaning, we will no longer be holding worship service on Sunday mornings.

However, we will continue to fulfill our calling to “be the church” through our outreach work. Specifically, our clothing closet and food pantry will continue to operate without interruption, as well as Bailey’s Closet and Bridge Buddies who also call 155 Capon School St. home.

In the coming weeks we’ll be announcing additional services that will enable us to continue our outreach efforts, such as “Parents’ Day Out”, event space rentals, and more.

We remain a registered 501c3 non-profit that is run by volunteers. If you have any questions about our shift in operations or would like to help out, please let us know.

Jesse Tree Advent Reading Plan

“There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots” (Isaiah 11:1)

A Jesse Tree is a way of celebrating Advent by journeying through the stories on Jesus’s family tree — from creation to the Christmas Story. The Jesse Tree tradition is rooted in Isaiah 11:1: “A shoot shall come out from the stump of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots.” Jesse was the father of David, Israel’s greatest king. And Jesus is descended from the line of David. He is the branch God promised would grow from Jesse’s family tree.

Join us this Advent season as each day we read through scripture and discover God’s promises for us, leading up to the Greatest Gift.
